    product key

Hey! I just bought a new pc with win8.1 already installed and running. I did ask for a backup copy on a usb stick. But I never had to enter a windows product key and I don't even have it....? I'd feel better if I had the damned thing writen down somehwere.... How do I retreive it? It's got to be stored somewhere.... right? If I ever have to whipe clean my HD and re-install win8.1; will I be in trouble?

OEM PCs running Windows 8 now have the product key burned into the BIOS. See:
