    Windows Media Player Playlist Sequence

Way back, Windows Media Player used to record playlists on to CDs in the order they appeared in the playlist. This doesn't happen anymore, even if "used media information to arrange files in folders on the disc" is unchecked. How can I force burning CDs (.mp3) data files in the sequence they're listed in the playlist?

On the burned CD, do the songs appear in alphabetical order? If so, there's nothing you can do about it, short of numbering the songs in order like 01, 02, 03 and so on, and then burning the songs. That's one of the only ways to ensure that WMP burns your songs in order. This issue only occurs with Data CDs and not regular Audio CDs.

Or there's always the alternative of using another media player like MediaMonkey.
