    Cool D.E.P is disabled

Somehow the Data Execution Prevention option has been disabled both option boxes greyed out.
Can any one help with curing this. My system is win7 64bit up to date. I have run Avast even offline with no result. Have run a full scan with malwarebytes premium no results. Used Ccleaner to clear out caches. But nothing seems to resolve the D.E.P problem.

All typing errors are my own work and subject to patents pending. Except errors by the spell checker. And that has its own patients.

Assuming your hardware supports DEP, try the Micosoft Fixit here: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/wi...agnostic/en-us

    Cool

    Thanks RetiredGeek & jwitalka.
The MS article did point me to the problem but did not tell me how to change the DEP profile from 1 to 2. The fixit did not fix it.
But thanks any way for your good suggestions.
