    Windows Easy Transfer mig file

    I have a 60 GB file called "Windows Easy Transfer - Items from old computer.MIG" on my Win 7 Pro computer. It is in a directory called BK100811. Can I delete this file?

    Hi and welcome to the Lounge.

    I suppose you have migrated from to 7 from a previous OS? If so, have you completed the migration and have access to all your documents and settings (IE favorites, etc)?

    AFAIK, the laptop has always had Win7 pro.

    It is possible that a tech may have moved files between computers using Windows Easy Transfer, but I had nothing to do with this.

    Also, the file is 3 years old. If I am missing any files, I am not likely to notice at this point.

    I can't figure out why this file would have any value, but I haven't been able to find confirmation that it is okay to delete using web searches.
