Download & Convert You Tube stuff

Recently I used Airy to download an mp4 video & convert it to mp3 at the same time but soon discovered Airy had a time limit to it then purchase was required. Shame because it was easy to use and quick. It was suggested I acquire VDownloader but when I tried to so do from CNet a message appeared on screen warning of a virus so I made a quick exit. So! I am looking for a safe site to download the said prog from, any suggestions please? Silver Fox

If I can recall, I think that I had used this on a number of occasions to extract audio to convert to mp3 files from You Tube videos.

    Pazera Free Audio Extractor 2.1

Give it a run. I don't recall having any issues with it.

I use Video DownloadHelper with Firefox. (Sorry, it only works with FF).

It looks like the latest version can convert the file for you, but I've always used Any Video Converter, as I have other uses for it as well. It will easily convert a video to an MP3.

Thanks each for the feedback. Downloading You Tube stuff like sermons/debates/talks etc I find dead easy using Freemake downloader & extracting the audio track from the video is equally easy using iWisoft but -as I said- Airy performs both operations at the same time and is very quick. Sad about the cost though, almost everything I use I got free except "ConvertXtoDVD" & recently Ashampoo 14 both of which I got when on special offer. Regards Dave.

I use Format Factory, it's free and you just save the video as an MP# and it will save the audio only.
