    Creating shortcuts in Word 2013

    I am aware that the ribbon can be customised via the ‘Customise Keyboard’ dialogue box/command. However, the customisation options are limited and I am wanting to create my own and personally new shortcut which isn’t listed in the ‘Commands’ pane – is this possible?

    Here is what I would like to achieve – on the Home tab I frequently:
    1. Call up the ‘Find & replace’ search box
    2. Manually access the Find tab
    3. Access the ‘More’ button
    4. Use the 'Use wildcards' option

    As I am slow with mouse strokes, I am wanting to strealine this process and either add a button to the Home tab or create a keyboard shortcut; so as I previously asked: is this possible at all? I cannot find any reference on the internet addressing this query.

    You can achieve that by adding the following macro to the document template and assigning a shortcut key to it:
    Code:
    Sub WildcardFindReplace()
    With Application.Dialogs(wdDialogEditReplace)
      .PatternMatch = True
      .Show
    End With
    End Sub
    The above code activates the wildcards option without needing to access the 'More' button.
