Server 2008 R2 64: hiding desktop icons and pushing printer

    Hi

    I have a small server 2008 R2 64 network with 5 desktops (win7 64)

Is there a GPO way to hide selected desktops icons for non-admin users? I recently switch from TrueCrypt to Symantec Disk Encryption. SDE has an icon and selection in all programs, from the sevrer 2008 is there a way I can hide certain desktop icons from users?

Also, anyone know a way to push printers out to desktops from a server 2008 GPO

    Thanks

    B.

To hide icons on individual desktops requires a permission change. The only way I can see to do that is to script it using a computer startup script via a GPO.

Pushing printers via GPO is easy, use pushprinterconnections.

    cheers, Paul
