Red face Windows 7: Ten Default Shortcuts Access Is Denied

    Hello,

I am interested in why my Windows 7 computers have what appear to be a default set of ten useless shortcuts. Please see attached picture showing me double clicking one of the ten default shortcuts,

    wsd.jpg

Each shortcut does not work. Each produces the same issue, Location is not available, Access is denied.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Those are what is known as junctions. They are present in Win7 so old programs which do not recognize the newer file structures for personal data will still work.
