Disappearing formulas (2000)

In certain cells, after I type a formula, say the following:

=IF(SH!E33<>0,SH!E33,IF(SH!E32<>0,SH!E32,IF(S H!E31<>0,SH!E31,SH!E30)))

If I go to the cell referenced in the above formula and change the value in E33, then the value hits my cell and the formula leaves. In the formula bar, the value is there and no formula. It returns the correct value one time, until the formula disappears. The cell is locked but not hidden, formatted as number.

I would really like to keep my formula there!

    Thanks,

It sounds like there is some Worksheet Change Event code on the sheet containing the referenced cell that is copying the changed value over the formula.

    Re: Disappearing formulas (2000)

I think I found it. I have a textbox control source property set to this cell and it seems to be updating the value in the cell. I thought if I locked the textbox it might just return the value to the textbox and leave the formula alone but...

I guess I will have to use the form activate event to populate the textboxes instead of the control source property.

    Thanks,
