Windows Update service not running
I have tried running Windows Update but I get this message
"Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer."
Needless to say, restarting does not fix this.
I looked in the Start tab in MSCONFIG to see if the service was not loading at startup but I find nothing there that I recognize as Windows Update.
So my questions are
1) When the Windows Update service is running is it loaded by including it in the Start tab in MSCONFIG? If the answer is Yes, then what is the full name and location of the executable for the service?
2) If the answer to question 1 is No, then how do I start the Windows Update service?
A screen print of the message is attached.
