NCH have a nifty tool called Slice Audio File Splitter; it works fine and is free to download:
In Windows 8.1: I used the aforesaid tool to separate out 26 songs from the one file; having first used NCH's Switch Sound File Converter to convert the original .flac file to .mp3. There were two minor "blips" when two of the "split" files turned out to be just a couple of beats - but they did not effect the overall outcome - I now have 26 separate files (one for each song).
