Problem copying a .txt file to another computer

I want to copy a .txt file from my PC to my Son In-Law's PC. I have never had this problem before, but after copying the file to a flash drive and then pasting it to my Son In-Law's PC I am told the file cannot be found. I got round this by emailing it as an attachment, but I would appreciate advice on this problem.

    Thanks and regards,
    Roy

Faulty drive? Try copying something else to the drive.

Seems to be a hardware problem.

Can you try sending this file via E-mail or by other means using Internet?

    Best regards.

Rather than copying the file, copy the text of the file:
    1. Open a new .txt file on the flash drive; also, open the original .txt file.
    2. Copy all of the text in the original .txt file, and then paste it into the new .txt file on the flash drive. Save the file on the flash drive.
    3. Plug the flash drive into your son-in-law's PC. Open the .txt file you just saved on the flash drive, and open a new .txt file on your son-in-law's PC.
    4. Copy all of the text in the .txt file on your flash drive, and then past it into the new .txt file on your son-in-law's PC. Save the file on your son-in-law's PC.

Can you copy ANY files at all to the pen drive? If not, it's either a faulty drive or less free space.

The pen drive can copy any other files to my Son In Law's PC, except for the one in question. I solved that problem by emailing the file to my Son In Law.

    Thanks for all the replies.
