    Alphabetic characters in string (97 SR2 Win NT 4.0)

    Is it possible to determine if there are alphabetic characters in a string without using select case instr() looped 26 times?

    Hi,
    Do you specifically mean letters of the alphabet (as opposed to say '$' or '%') or do you mean non-numeric characters?

    I was hoping you'd say that! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15> You can use
    <pre>If Not IsNumeric(strYourString) Then
    </pre>

    Hope that helps.
