What is this error and how do I fix it?

    Computer info:
My computer is operating on the Windows 7 platform and uses 64-bit.

I've attempted to register a .dll (comdlg32.dll) with the use of regsvr32. However, when I try to do so, I'm left with an error that indicates that the dll has been read but the DLLRegistryServer entry is no where to be found [Entry Point not found dll] (these are not the exact words but I'm just giving you a drift of what is happening)
What could be the situation here? How will I be able to solve it?

    Hello,
Thanks for the link you sent. Guess what?
It actually helped!!! Thanks a BIG LOT.
I'm now doing additional research on this error since it seems every much interesting. I was led to sites such as http://www.cryer.co.uk/brian/windows...0x8002801c.htm and http://errortools.com/windows/fix-en...nd-dll-errors/. I'm now moving on to Yahoo answers. For some reason I feel pumped. hehehe...

What makes you think that you need to register a different comdlg32.dll? Is there some software that errors out because of it, if so, what's the software? Exactly which version is the comdlg32.dll that you're trying to register?

Take care when searching for fixes, avoid any site that offers any Registry 'fix' snake oil tools like the plague.

Glad you solved you problem. And I usually say this to everyone new on this forum: If someone's response to your problem proved effective, then it's nice to click the "Thanks" button to let them and other posters know that their solution worked out.
