    Recommend program for virtual machine?

    Hello again,

The confuser with win 95 with the games for the kids developed problem with the mother-board and seems the only alternative at this time is to go with a virtual machine in the machine with XP SP3, as previously recommended here.

Based on your experience, what do you recommend? I tried virtual box and instal went good but, it refuses to fire up win 95 even though I followed the instructions with added files as recommended. It just gives me a screen that looks like the old DOS box.

Any FREE programs that you can recommend that is a proven success for someone who is NOT very technically advanced?

    Thanks in advance

Yeah, I've installed a wide range of OS's into VirtualBox. There can sometimes be a little tweaking needed to get it sharing, printing and such. But its not much different from simply installing an OS on a new system. Missing drivers can certainly do it.

VMWare is also good but more business/geek oriented.

There is a program called dosbox that runs win95 games fine on 64 bit windows - no VM needed - just tell it where the 95 games are located.

you can get it here http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1

It runs the old Sierra floppy games fine and the CD ones fine -
