    Lost my administrator password for Win 80.1

    Offline NT Password & Registry Editor.

    Just clear the password then reset it once you're back in Windows. HTH

    that is one reason why we do NOT want ANY passwords at all on our pcs

    nothing but bad things ever happen when you have to use passwords on the pc itself

    Well, there are isolated cases where passwords are a good idea - like the time our visiting teenage grandson "called" 900 numbers on my computer after we had gone to bed.
    But on the original question, I keep an Ophcrack (password cracker) CD in my laptop bag. It's recovered quite a few passwords over the past few years.
