    OneDrive on the Desktop?

I have an existing account on my desktop system (using Windows 8) and wonder if there is a method to create a shortcut (icon on my desktop) as I have with Dropbox? I went to the location that OneDrive is on my computer (C:\Users\User\OneDrive) but there is no file (an .exe maybe?) that would allow a shortcut to be created. Only present is a ".lock" file, desktop.ini & 3 folders (Documents, Pictures, Public). R-clicking the folders offers a "Create shortcut" option but how would this be useful (I want one shortcut, not three)?

Does One Drive show up in File Explorer? It does on my system. If so, right drag the Onedive icon to the desktop and click on Create Shortcut Here.
