Is there any way to change the File as setting in Outlook 2000 Contacts for all my contacts at once. I do not want to have to go into each of 200+ contacts to change the setting one-by-one.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Neil

I believe the following trick will work:
1. Backup your contacts data to another folder somewhere, just in case.
2. Export all your contact data to an Excel file. This exports everything EXCEPT the current File As field.
3. In Outlook, go to Tools, Options, Contacts Options, and change the default File As to the way you want it.
4. Import your Excel file back into your Contacts folder. You'll have to select the option that says "Replace duplicates with items imported" (either that, or start with an empty Contacts folder).
i thought there was a utility at http://www.slipstick.com too.

This looks like it will work. I will try later today.
