    Reinstalling Windows Server 2003

    Hi Guys
I'm in need of your help again, I'm reinstalling windows 2003 on a DELL POWER EDGE SC 440 and it is saying it can not find any hard drive to install 2003 on to, do any of you have a link to the software that I need so it can find the hard drives?

Any help would be very welcome.

    Dan

What kind of HDDs, SATA or PATA? Does your disc include SP1 or later or maybe is R2?
If you are using SATA drives:

2003 requires you provide the disk controller drivers up front, possibly on a floppy disk / USB. I usually use the Dell management CD to load the OS and drivers onto the hard disk for the installation. The management CD can be downloaded from Dell - it can be rather large.

Go to the Dell site support section and enter the Service Tag. You will then find a list of all drivers, including the Management CD/DVD, which I recommend - I always use it to load the OS.

    cheers, Paul
