Question PCMATIC w/SuperShield vs AV & AntiMalware

Dear Sirs, I will be switching to Win7 Home Premium 64 bit and want some good security. I was thinking of Kaspersky (or something similar) plus the paid version MalwarePlus. But to hear PCMatic's version, it replaces both of these. But none of the comparisons I have seen have even mentioned PC Matic as an AV.
Does anybody know what the REAL story is? I want protection and am trying to follow all the suggestions by WS - which consists of quite a list - but I am willing if I can manage it.
I use PC Pitstop for driver updates, but as a replacement for AV and anti-Malware? I'm concerned.
Anybody have any experience with this or just suggestions, please?
    Thank you, Julia

Keep tools like PCMatic or PC Pitstop OFF your system.
There are time honored maintenance procedures advocated here that don't include "snake oil" software.
Besides, none of the above have anything whatsoever to do with AV/AM monitoring and prevention.

When it comes to AV/AM monitoring tools, choose those that are well known and have a good real
world track record, and not something that is relatively unknown.
