Outlook 2010 & Display Name Issue

Outlook 2010 Contacts & Email Display Name Issue
In my contacts list I had Ann & Brian Smith, but they are now divorced.
I changed the names 'Ann & Brian' to just 'Brian'.
    BUT
An email to Brian still shows 'Ann & Brian Smith (briansmith@gmail.com)' in the 'To' address line.
How do I stop Outlook using the 'old' Display Name?

I have 'Emptied the Auto-Complete List', and I have deselected 'Use Auto-Complete List'.
I have deleted the old 'contact' entry for Ann & Brian Smith', and then made a new 'contact' entry for Brian Smith, but Outlook still uses the 'Ann & Brian Smith' Display Name in address Book and in the email 'To' line.

When you begin a new email click on "Address book" to see how many Contacts folders are in use. Perhaps your contact is in more than one.
