    Encrypting documents in cloud storage

It is my understanding that cloud storage services like OneDrive encrypt files being uploaded and downloaded (i.e., files in transit), but the files stored in the cloud are not encrypted, at least not by Microsoft. I would be much more comfortable if my essential cloud data (e.g., Quicken database backups) were encrypted when stored in the cloud. I do not need these files more heavily encrypted on my pc than they already are, but I want heavier encryption when it is stored in the cloud. What I would like is a program, probably run through task scheduler, which will take my Quicken backup files from my hard drive, encrypt them with something substantial (truecrypt? winzip? other thoughts?) and then automatically upload them to my OneDrive account. I would keep the password, so if I ever need to restore the backup files on OneDrive I could download them to my computer and manually decrypt them. Essentially these files would be doubly encrypted, once with the normal Quicken password, and the files uploaded to OneDrive with another, more secure encryption and different password.

Does anyone know of such a program. I might be able to work it out myself, but an existing program or script would be nicer.

Alternately, how strong is the Quicken password? I assume that without more a Quicken backup file stored in OneDrive would be subject to the password one needs to open the file in the first place.

    Thank you.
