how do i uninstall service pack 1

    I need to perform a Win7’s no-reformat, nondestructive re-install on my system.
One of the first items I need to remove is the Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (KB976932).
It shows up on my Windows Update list of installed items, but not in the Control Panel installed Programs.

So, how do I uninstall this Service Pack?

    Any help will be welcome.

    Regards,
    Flores

I moved this post to its own thread in the Windows 7 forum.

Rather than uninstalling SP 1, why not download the SP1 Windows 7 disk from here:
    http://www.mydigitallife.info/offici...digital-river/

It should work with your Product key.

You don't need to uninstall SP1 when you use a Win 7 SP1 ISO bootable disk.

You can download your version from http://www.w7forums.com/threads/offi...-2#post-124821 and use http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/...usbdvd_dwnTool to create a bootable USB/DVD.

It's best to back up your drivers folders first from Windows/System32 as an install disk doesn't include any drivers and then you can drop them back in afterward.

If you don't have your product key to hand then Belarc Advisor will list that

    Hello Jerry,
    Thanks for your help.
I will have to wait a bit for downloading the Win7 SP1 ISO file, because we moved recently to a small town on the mountains near Rio de Janeiro, and the hi-speed broadband is still not available for us. I depend on a very slow HUAWEY modem hooked to my laptop.
We have an apartment in Rio de Janeiro (with hi-speed broadband) and when we go there next time, I will download the ISO file. I hope my original key will be accepted. Thanks.
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Flores
