    Set Default Folder when opening Files

    I am using Windows 8 and Office 2013

    I would like to know how to set a default folder when opening up files using Office 2013

    It's probably the same as in Office 2010 applications, go to File, Options, Save and make the change there. You may have to do it in each application you use. The Default is C:\Users\YourName\Docments. If it's for a one-time thing use File, Save As and specify the Folder on the HDD.

    It is indeed Berton, I've verified in my 2013 installation.

    Don't forget to add the new location to your Trusted Locations in the Trust Center. Unless, you plan to download files into that folder. HTH
