    Windows update needs shutdown

A family member is running Windows Vista and is a gamer. When windows does its Update Tuesday and she is into a game, there is no notification that her computer is shutting down and rebooting. The usual notice lower right taskbar is hidden behind the game.

Can the computer be set to only shutdown when she logs off and turns off her computer.

I told her I would find the answer and this IS the answer place.

    Thanks,

I'd go to Control Panel, Windows Update [or maybe Start, All Programs, Windows Update] and change the settings about dealing with updates. See this image:

Go to: control Panel> Security Center> Turn Automatic updates On or off > Download important updates but let me decide when to install them> Every day at (X):00 AM(for example)> OK.
