Firefox, Pale Moon address/location bar strange highlighting of letter L

A curiousity: on browsers FF and Pale Moon, when I type in address/location bar and the word has a double l', the ls are highlighted in red, in the 'suggestions' as well. Oddly, when the word is type in Caps, only the suggestions have the red highlights. So far I've not found any other letter when doubled this happens to.
    Anyone else experience this?

I'd like to but the highlighting only appears in the address/location bars and suggestions...not on web pages.
What happens when you type, say, connelly in either bar? Or any other word with 2 adjacent 'ls'?

And I quit FireFox after version 28, which I still have, moved to Pale Moon as if I had wanted a Chrome look alike, I would just have used Chrome. I do have FF on another work related machine and let that update but nothing I've seen since 28 would move me off Pale Moon even though some websites tell me it is an "old" browser, I ignore them as it works just fine and is updated regularly, the last update did whack a couple extensions but there were alternatives. I do love moonlight. :^)

No highlighting of double letters in my Firefox either. Don't have Pale Moon.

    Run malware scans lately?

No highlighting here either using Pale Moon Version: 25.1.0 (x86)

I'm pretty sure I would have spotted highlighting of double 'l' as the football team I follow is Motherwell
