    TCP/IP Corrupts

Has anyone else noticed that XP Pro has a tendency to get its TCP/IP protocol corrupted from time to time. I use the word "corrupted" because I'm not sure what other word would apply.

I have had several instances where my DSL would stop working. Thinking the my provider was fouling up, I'd try a dialup. I can get connected, but no transmission; I'm not even able to ping. Clearing the TCP/IP protocol and then subsequently rechecking it, or uninstalling it and then reinstalling it seems to fix the problem. This has occurred at three times in the last 3 weeks.

I'm wondering if there's something somewhere that I should adjust to prevent this, or is this something MS will (hopefully) fix in SP1....

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Re: TCP/IP Corrupts

Now that is an interesting question. The answer is yes, I use ZoneAlarm Pro, v 2.6.362. I note that on the most recent compatibility update for XP that one of the applications on the list is ZoneAlarm.

    Do you think............ maybe.....
