    Apply trend to selected cells

    Hi Loungers

I need to apply a trend line to selected cells and project the trend line forward, I've worked that out, so the problem I'm having is how to restrict how far backwards the trend line goes (hope that makes sense)

The attached sample should explain what I'm after.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Regards

How about using the Forecast function?

    =FORECAST(N3,$F4:Q4,$F3:Q3)
