Took me 10 to 15 minutes to download and 55 minutes to install with 3 reboots. The build wiped out my dual boot as did the last one. Went into Control Panel > System > Advanced System Settings > Startup and Recovery and made Windows 7 the default boot and my dual boot is back.

The new Preview Build picked up all my desktop and MMU (Metro/Modern/Universal) apps although the first tine I opened Windows Live Mail, it kicked off the installer briefly but it appears to be functional. All my devices seem to be there as well.

    Build 9879 installed here now.

My dual boot with Windows 8 has remained intact although it seems to have reverted to the old style text only display.

One point of concern is that Onedrive seemed to have got confused and is currently downloading 12GB from the cloud!

Glad to hear your dual boot remained intact. Mine reverted to the old style on the previous build.

As for One Drive, Microsoft has made some changes with this build. From the link I gave in a What's new post:
Microsoft is also making changes to how OneDrive syncs in Windows 10, in response to feedback from users over confusion regarding which files are available offline and which are just 'placeholders' for files stored elsewhere. The new build introduces 'selective sync', allowing users to choose exactly what files and content they want synced to their PC.

More significantly, Microsoft appears to have signaled the end for its OneDrive app in Windows 10, as this section of its blog post suggests (emphasis ours):

Also in Windows 8.1, there were multiple ways you could get to your OneDrive files such as through the modern OneDrive app or through File Explorer. We heard a lot of feedback around this as well. It wasn’t obvious exactly where to go for your OneDrive files. In Windows 10, we are providing people with one easy way to get to their OneDrive files – through File Explorer.

It sure sounds like the standalone OneDrive app will no longer have a role in Windows 10, with Microsoft focusing exclusively on providing access to OneDrive via File Explorer.

    I just went to:
    Win +C
    Settings
    Change PC Settings
    Update and Recovery
    Click on Preview Builds

    Cheers Jerry.

I changed the default boot O/S to the TP and that brought back the GUI O/S selection screen.

As for Onedrive, I'm still scratching my head. It appears that it has wiped the previous data and is currently downloading it again! fortunately I don't have any download limits with my ISP so I'll just leave it downloading overnight.

    Thanks, Jerry. Will do .
At the moment, I found the URL for the first update and I am D/Ling it, would this give me the new build or the old one ?

After an honest try, it is D/ling but I do not know where it is going. Should it not ask ?

After looking at the 5 small balls going round for 20 minutes and no query as to where to D/L to, I stopped it, got to go and get some ZZZzzz !

    Tomorrow is another day. Jean.

You have no control over where a new build downloads to similar to Windows updates. When it finishes downloading, you will see an install Now button.
