How to annotate screen shots on iOS 8?

    Hi there -

Does anyone know of an easy way to annotate screen shots taken on an iPhone? I on't need anything fancy; mostly, I just want to circle things or add an arrow.

    Thanks a lot!

I don't know of a way to do it on an iPhone itself but I use Reflector to mirror my iPhone and iPad to my PC so I can take screenshots and annotate them using the PC.

    For example:
    ios1.jpgios2.jpg

I use this quite a lot when I'm creating instructions for my Dad about how to use his iPad and it seems to work well. I also use it in work to create instructions for new iPhone users. In my case I use Paint Shop Pro to do the annotations but I guess any (most) graphics programs could be used.

    Hope this helps...

Many thanks, Rick. Unfortunately, I'm looking for an app, so I can do this while mobile. Thanks again.

Have a look at Bugshot. It's very simple and ONLY does rounded squares and arrows. See Bugshot: Simple Screenshot Annotations On iOS for more info. I looked at this before choosing Reflector but rejected it because it was too limited. Might be just what you need...

Others like Skitch and Ember have had very poor reviews.

Thanks again, Rick. Bugshot would have been perfect, but, sadly, per http://www.marco.org/bugshot, it's no longer available.
