    Setting Change Bar Position

In MS Word (2003, for example) you used to be able to set the distance between the change bars and the margin...I think. In any event I can't find a place in Word 2013 to set this. The problem I'm having is that our document template has a text box in the header containing the Doc number, Rev and date sitting about 3/8" outside the page margin. For some reason, the change bars are aligning on the edge of this text box in the header instead of with respect to the margin in the body of the page - they sit more than half an inch from text on the page.

Any thoughts on how to control the location of the change bars would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

The only options Word (including 2003) gives, are:
    • Outside border
    • Left border
    • Right border
There is no option to vary the distance of the change bar from the text.

OK, thanks. I must have been thinking of a DTP app we use.
