Costco and Best Buy order emails

I have started receiving emails that purport to contain information about your Costco or Best Buy online orders in my mail accounts I use when I suspect spam. Hovering your cursor over the links in the email reveal the target sites are not related to Costco or Best Buy. Just another reminder to never click on links within an email. If you have a pending order, manually open your browser and manually go to the store website to check on it.

I've received some of those, both in my Inbox and in my Junk/SPAM Folders.

I just received one, allegedly from FedEx, about an undelivered item and wanting me to click on an attachment. Yeah, right, not a chance.

If folks could also report the toxic link, from the phishing email, we could have services like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and their subsidiary hpHosts put blocks in their next/pending database releases within an hour or so.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...lware-threats/

Of course lots of other reporting points are available.

    Thank you.

All viruses are malware but not all malware are viruses and if the malware doesn't self replicate it just isn't a virus.
