    on demand video

Hi, I recently paid to have access to live streaming and on demand video. However, when watching on my laptop running Win 8.1 I only get a few seconds of video before buffering. Also, I can't fast forward to a later part of the video (which runs for several hours!). I have tried using Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer, but have the same trouble with all of them.
Is there anything I can do that might allow me to view the video without it constantly stopping? I have an android tablet which plays the video without this problem, but I would like to be able to view it on a larger screen and am able to connect the laptop to a tv.
    Regards, GinaR.

My best guess is to find a program that will "make" your desired browser cache the whole thing or a great part of it before playing. During my WFW311 days, my Netsonic caching did this for Netscape.

Are your android tablet and your laptop both accessing the internet through the same WIFI connection? Or is the android accessing the internet through 4G/LTE?

Thanks. Will try to find a program, but as an over 70yo I'm not sure just what I'm looking for.
