Changing time delay on Start->Programs menus etc

I want to eliminate the time delay before the next menu shows, when clicking on Start ->Programs -> etc.

I've had a look in the registry, (as well as looking in the Advanced options through the Windows interface) but can't see anything - any suggestions please?

    Help much appreciated.

    Here you go:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Desktop

Double click on MenuShowDelay and set it to something like 100

(I believe the number is milliseconds, default is 400 (?) nearly 1/2 second for the menu to open!)

This applies to NT4 as well and for it you needed to reboot for it to take effect - may be the same for W2K.
