regedit disabled on 98 se laptop

I work in a school setting with Netware 5.1 on the server and we use ZenWorks, and have a laptop being used by a teacher who is unable to run regedit. When attempted, it says these settings have been disabled by your administrator. I am the new administrator and have not been able to undo this setting. When I sign into her laptop as an administrator, I also get that message, which leads me to believe it is not a Netware policy, but a Win 98 policy. Does anyone know where within WIN 98 one would enable this feature?

Re: regedit disabled on 98 se laptop

Sounds like a system policy has been set.
    This site - <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.zisman.ca/poledit/>http://www.zisman.ca/poledit/</A> - may give you some clues.

Re: regedit disabled on 98 se laptop

    Leif,

Thank you. We were able to reset the policy and use regedit. That link you referred us to gave good step-by-step instructions. Thanks again.
