Microsoft is building a new browser as part of Windows 10

Separate from IE 11 with Firefox/Chrome look and feel:

That's nice but do we really need another browser?
Hopefully it is to replace IE not just another "me too" browser.

I miss Netscape! small, simple, fast. ;-)

RussB, you also remember the good days of Netscape?!?! For archives, I still have .09 version, along with the last one before IE & FF whupped them good. Did you use Netsonic caching software with Netscape? Anyway, hopefully, MS replaces, not adds to, its collection of Internet Explorer.

I hope it doesn't look too much like Chrome. I hate Chrome.

I'm w/ you there, Clint. Not only Chrome... I've tried several browsers over the years and, sue me... I do prefer IE(11). Another subjective topic, to be sure.

    Cheers,

Good one, Roland (thumbs up icon)

A little on some motorcycles is nice, too Though, us riders have a saying, "Chrome won't get you home".

Mary Jo does have a good ear to the rails. For quite a while, talking w/ colleagues & fellow Microsoft Partners, things @ conferences & seminars, it has long been felt, even as just a hunch, that a new browser or certainly, a new version of IE would be part of the Windows 10 presentation. It is interesting if there will be something more or different than (just) an IE12, per se.

If, certain things don't show up as early as in TP Builds, 21/1 or otherwise, including Continnum, one can expect to see heaps of dramatic things in the Consumer Preview suggested to come around mid-April.

    Cheers,
    Drew
