    Lock screen

Had to reinstall everything (oh boy) but thank god for back ups. Since the operating system was installed win 8 upgraded to 8.1 there is a lock screen that rears its ugly head after 1 minute.
Cannot find anything that will resolve this. Found a video on you tube on resetting the registry but that did not work. Any help on making this go away for at least extending the time. The original install from the factory did not have this. thank you for any assistance.

What I'd check is the Screen Saver. Right-click a blank area of the Desktop [not on icons] and click Personalize then click Screen Saver at bottom right. There is a check box for showing the login screen, Uncheck that. Also see what the time is for the screensaver to kick in, have seen defaults of 1 minute but usually 5 or 10 minutes, change it. There's also a link to power settings.
