    Offline if not signed in?

    If I exit browser but keep computer on, am I truly off line?

    If by 'off line' you mean 'not connected to the internet' then no, not really. It just means that your browser - and ONLY your browser - is 'off line'. To be truly 'off line' in this respect you would have to switch off your modem/router.

    To see what other connections to the internet are active, have a look at Nir Sofer's CurrPorts. This will show you active connections to the internet even when your browser is closed. You may be surprised by the number of Internet connections that are made.

    Hi,

    Please help with Nir Soft files. Nir Soft files have been suggested many times on this forum, however when I download them, ANVI SMART DEFENDER & other protection utils indicate they are "dangerous".
    What's the story?
