Have to be activating Windows 7 Home Premium, almost monthly past few months

Using the SLMGR /REARM. Is there a more permanent solution I am not aware of. My machine has been fine for 3 years until sometime last year.

Did your Windows 7 Home Premium come preinstalled on a major OEM PC? SLMGR /REARM is basically a hack to stay perpetually in the 30-day evaluation period. The following tool will tell you whether your copy of Windows is genuine.

    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

Clicking on that link will download the tool.

Here is another link from Microsoft that tries to repair corrupt/tampered files. KB971033

You'll have to select the correct bit-ness for your installation.

Create a fresh drive image before making system changes, in case you need to start over!
