Help Me Desgin My New System - Continued

THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all of you who provided me with help & suggestions in my initial thread started 1-9-14 with the same name.

It would NOT let me reply to that thread because it was so old - so I started this one.

If you want to view that old thread - it is at http://windowssecrets.com/forums/sho...y-new-computer

I did NOT buy a new Desktop System in 2014. I delayed it for another year.

However, I DID buy a new Desktop System in January 2015.

    What I purchased was:

    Dell XPS 8700 Special Edition
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4790 processor (8M Cache, up to 4.0 GHz)
    32GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (8GBX4)
AMD Radeon HD R9 270 2GB GDDR5 discrete graphics card
    256GB mSATA Solid State Drive
    3TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
    Blu-ray Drive
Dual Dell UltraSharp 24 Monitors (U2414H)
    Dell MDS14 Dual Monitor Stand
    Dell Wireless Speaker System AC411
    Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
    Dell USB 6-Button Laser Mouse
    Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Canon imageCLASS MF 6160dw Laser Printer (prints, copies, faxes, scans)

    APC BR1500G BACK-UPS Pro

    Office 365 Home

Hopefully, I am good for a few years now.

Makes my system look slow, but it isn't. Modern hardware rocks!

    cheers, Paul

Well, my previous system was 8 years old in 1-15
So, this is quite the culture shock to me.
