    Median Function (2000)

Anyone have code or a method for using a median function for Access data? The function exists in standard Excel, but not for Access expressions. I have limited coding experience, but know mathematically how to derive the median. Help would be greatly appreciated to resolve this one!
Also, any idea why the functions for Access are different than those for Excel, why isn't the same set of functions available, with the same names and arguments?

See if this article will work for you...

If not then search the MS knowledge Base for Median as there are a couple of other articles there that may help you.

    Re: Median Function (2000)

As for your question about why the functions are different, Excel contains spreadsheets with cells that relate to one another positionally. Access contains records that normally don't relate at all within the same table. There are many nearly identical functions, but the two application engines are very different and were developed and are maintained by entirely separate groups within Microsoft, so don't expect everything to work the same way.
