    Outlook 2003 mail setting

    I am sure that there's a setting somewhere, but I cannot find it !

    My contacts are set to show as Lastname, Firstname eg Smith, Peter. This makes navigating through the many "Peters" that I know rather easier !

    But when I create a new mail and click on To: I get my list of contacts shown as Firstname, Lastname. Is there a setting to change this particular display to Lastname, Firstname ?

    Thanks for the reply - that does indeed sort the order in the Contacts view, but when I click on To: in a new email they still come up in Firstname Lastname order . . .

    Tools, Options, Contact Options controls the Contacts order.

    Tools, Account Settings, Address Books, Change should control the To: button order:

    Outlook Contact & Address Book Options
