Windows 7 System Repair disk - maintenance

Is there any value in periodically creating a newer System Repair disk or will the files always be the same?

The files probably will be the same. Now, if the disk can also invoke any existing system restore point, that would change if the system restore points have been updated from time to time.

It's probably worth creating another as a spare and check that it works before you need it.

You need to change the Boot order to boot from the ODD first and they boot you up into the Advanced boot options that you would normally access by tapping F8 as you switch on, or whatever method is required for your machine or OS.
