    Blocked site in Google Chrome

I have been accessing a certain financial site successfully for many months, but a few days ago the page refused to loadand has continued that way - I have to access the site now through Internet Explorer instead. I have searched Settings and Tools in the hope of finding that I had accidentally put a block on the site but to no avail - there are no problems with other sites. Any suggestions please.

It is possible that the miscreants have coded it to be IE specific - I have a bank site like that.

    cheers, Paul

My experience has been that java problems occur when using chrome on certain sites. Example: checking for NVIDIA drivers. I have to use IE for that.

I have cleared cookies and browsing data, but to no avail. I have emailed the institution to see if anything has changed - it has worked perfectly in Chrome for the past year.

Remember Chrome is constantly (and transparently) improving itself.

I have been assured by the company that their site has no problem with Chrome, so I intend to remove and re-install Chrome, in the hope that will solve the problem, however, I do not want to lose all my bookmarks and can see no way of saving them - will a conventional Windows 7 add/remove and re-install retain the bookmarks?

Go to Chrome>settings>bookmark manager, click on the bookmark folder you want to save, then click on the "Organize" arrow, then select export bookmarks (choose to desktop or whereever you want to save them). After reinstall, go through the same procedure and import bookmarks.

Thanks. I have uninstalled Chrome using a specialist uninstaller on deep clean and re-installed - but still the site will not load. I have installed Opera specifically for that site and it works fine.
