I purchased two Acers and one desktop, all with Windows 7 Pro. One has to add his/her own Microsoft VM and XP.

Any particular reason you need 32-bit? Dell still sells Win 7 Pro laptops.

    RolandJS,

Thanks for the quick reply; however

My PC has W7 Pro 32 bit and XP pro & the MS virtual machine came with it, altho I had to download & set it up.
I set it up 2 1/2 yr ago & its been running fine. Is this what you mean by adding...?

Are you satisfied with your Acer portable and where did you buy it?

klxdrt, same here, had to download some MS VM thingie, the XP thingie, install, run, configure. Windows XP mode is working great -- I also keep backups of the files on my data drive, just in case the cdrive XP gets sunk like the Bismark.
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the 2 Acer laptops! Each has a notebook fan assembly underneath because they run "happier" when running cooler.

I just bought a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit laptop at walmart.com. But I'm sure I have seen 32-bit there as well.

You can download XP-Mode for free from microsoft.com, which will give you the virtual XP.

Not only are the prices good, but if there's a problem with it, you can return it to your local Wal Mart for your money back.
