    Lounge E-Mail Notification Sloth Curiosity

Just curious. I frequently leave my browser open at the Lounge during the day, and notice that some days I get Lounge E-Mail notifications with a considerable delay from when the messages to me are actually posted. That is, I see new Lounge message flags on the browser, open the forum or whatever, find out they are to me and read them (or not) and then a couple hours later get Notification.

Is this delay more likely to be arising from the Lounge, or an effect of heavy 'net traffic, or the result of my Company's paranoia about exogenous e-mail? Anybody else notice this?

I get about a five minute delay.

Varies wildly here - anything between about 15 seconds and 2-3 hours! I know it's not our end as other mail is coming through in a 'timely fashion'.
I've always put it down to bottlenecks somewhere else . . .
