    change program icons

Is there a way to change a program icon in Windows to one using an image I've created?
    Thanks!

Do you mean as a default? - or just for a shortcut?
    (BTW - which Windows?)

For the actual .exe file. I'm on NT, but could probably figure out for other systems as well. The place where this is going is w2k.

Changing the icon of purchased software may be in breach of the licence - you will have to check.

Meanwhile, there is some free software here at Post 37271 - if I recall, LittleWhiteDog had some means for getting inside exe's.

    Hi
To do this inside an exe file you need something on the lines of Resource Hacker (#68 my site). Latest update 3.3.1, 7th Dec 01.
