Exclamation "Internet Tiles" App not working at all

    Subject: Win 8.1 error
    Hi:

After I re-installed Win 8.1 using a newly bought DVD Disk, Internet Tiles program stopped working -- it loads, then disappears completely. I am puzzled since it has worked very well for nearly six months after I upgraded to Win 8.1 via a Win 8.0 disk installation followed by an upgrade
yo Win 8.1 with the help of a WinStore upgrade disk.

I have found many complaints about WinStore programs not working in a couple of community web sites, but
    no solutions.

    Can you help?

Do you mean that Windows is opening at the Desktop instead of Metro UI? It now does that by default. If so, right-click the taskbar, click Properties and select the Navigation tab in the resulting screen and change the settings.

Is it just the Internet Tiles app or all apps that fail? If just the Internet Tiles app, try uninstalling and reinstalling it. If you are having trouble with multiple apps and/or the Store, try the Windows App Troubleshooter:

    Hi Jerry:
It is only the "internet tiles" app that does not run properly. I have tried re-installing it several times; I have also re-installed Win 8.1 from a Win 8.1 DVD. Same failure occurs. My next try will be to go back to the Win8.0 DVD then upgrade to Win 8.1 from Win Store.
