    Question Chrome problem

Using chrome as I have for some time, I never had a problem tracking packages from FEDEX until today. I tracked on FEDEX as recently as Sat. 3/14/15 but today it won't load anything on the https site except a small amount of text.
I called FEDEX and they said that it works fine for them so I thought why not try it on IE11. Bingo, it works fine there. Something has changed with chrome. Maybe it's java related as I know they want to get rid of it in favor of html5.
    Has anyone else encountered this?
    Chrome version 41.0.2272.89 m

I'm not sure if it was on this forum... but I think a similar problem was resolved by rebooting the router.

I don't know why that resolved it for the OP when other browsers were working okay, but it's worth giving it a try.

I'll try that but I have a feeling it's something more. Thanks for the suggestion Sudo15.
I unplug the router at night after shutting down the computer anyway.

When I was digging some more, came across the suggestion to put :443 at the end of the URL as Chrome could be using Port 80 which is for http and afterwards Chrome behaved itself.

Chrome also uses IE Internet connections so going into IE - Tools - Internet options and under the Advanced tab ensure SSL boxes are unchecked and that all of the TLS boxes are, but for some, unchecking TLS 1.0 worked.

You could also see if clearing the SSL state does it.

Back in IE/Tools etc. click on the Content tab then on Clear SSL state and you should get a success message.

I don't know what the Anvi Browser Repair Tool does for Chrome as you have to have it installed before its icon is active in the left pane, but you could give that a go.

I wonder if BLUR had anything to do with it?

Yeah, I reckon that could do it - are you able to connect to any other secure sites in Chrome ?

Yes, I can connect to secure sites, but ( as per another thread ) I can't update flash, or check for NVIDIA drivers, and now I can't check FEDEX tracking. I believe they are all java related so I'm not sure if Blur is the problem since everything worked in the past. I've read that Google is trying to eliminate java in favor of html5 so maybe this is part of their progression.
If this continues, I guess I will go back to IE and dump chrome.

If they required Java and you don't have it installed or enabled in browsers you would normally get an error message to that effect.

Have you tried to see if you can access those downloads in a clean boot or in Safe Mode with Networking as it could be another 3rd party program or even your AV that's conflicting.

Does Blur have any exception rules so that it will allow certain sites ?

I suppose you could uninstall it for elimination purposes.

I do have the latest java and flash, both enabled. Blur does have an option of turning off for that site but as I stated, it doesn't seem to stop FEDEX tracking from loading in IE 11. I just have a feeling that it's a chrome problem since they are ever evolving.
I submitted it to Google help this morning so I'll see if they have any answers.

Does Blur cover all browsers or just Chrome ?

I have ABP installed in Firefox but its a separate install for IE whereas HitmanPro.Alert covers all browsers that I have installed.

Blur in chrome used to be "Do Not Track Me" by Abine but Blur took it over in Chrome. In IE it's still listed as "Do Not Track Me" by Abine.
I also have ABP installed in chrome, not sure if it is in IE or not.

Yes, I saw both versions when I Googled to see what Blur was.

I would uninstall it to see if it is the cause in Chrome - you want programs that will help, not hinder, but AV programs can be just as troublesome at times.

I found the problem. It is Blur, I opened the tracking site for FEDEX and then turned off the track option in Blur for that site, then the FEDEX tracking site opened immediately. Evidently Blur has become aggressive now because it didn't cause those problems when I went to FEDEX tracking on Sat. 3/14/15.
Hopefully this will help someone else if the same thing happens to them.

Looks like your instincts about Blur were right
