    Prevent IE Access to Files?

Is it possible to prevent a user or users from using Internet Explorer to access files on their hard drive, mapped drive, and/or network shares? We are looking for a way to prevent our employees from being able to use IE to browse to and upload files via IE. An example would be someone using IE to go to their personal email account like hotmail, composing an email addressed to themselves, and then browsing to attach files from the office to that email. In other words, stealing proprietary information.

You have to trust your employees, but you don't have to allow them access to personal email. Block external email sites - that's actually much harder than it sounds.
